1) How are videos selected and produced?

Movico is working with 100+ leading video producers in India to help manage their video archives. We review footage that has re-use value and together with the producers create a pool of clips that can be made available through our website. Our team of video editors and video production executives then stores the high-resolution videos on our server and posts the low-resolution videos with all the meta-data to our web-application.

2) How are videos ranked?

All videos are initially ranked by our editorial team. Over time as users watch and preview the videos, our system changes the initial ranking to reflect the users’ choice.

3) What formats are the videos available in?

The web-application usually lists the formats that each video clip is available in. Usually we support MOV, AVI formats. For special cases, we also support tape formats. However, these have manual processes and are time-consuming and costly.

4) Do you add videos on a regular basis?

Yes. Our goal is to become the largest collection of South Asian stock footage within 12 months. We are actively working with producers from India and the entire South Asian region in this regard. We plan to add new videos rapidly to the collection.

5) How can I purchase a video for use in my project?

Once you have identified a video clip or set of clips that are useful to you, please use the check-out option on the shopping cart. Though we do not have any payment gateway at this time, we have a fully developed order entry mechanism in place. Your order will be sent to our fulfillment team right away.

Our fulfillment team will contact you within 24 hours and co-ordinate with you to verify the order and advise you of the payment options. Once you have paid for the videos that you have selected, the fulfillment team will process your order and the high-resolution video clip will be delivered to you within 24-48 hours of receipt of your payment.

6) How will the payment be made?

Currently we are using a manual payment option. Our fulfillment team will contact you and co-ordinate with you regarding the payment options. You can pay via wire transfer or via check. We are working to build a payment gateway system giving you the flexibility to pay online.

7) How will the high-resolution videos be delivered?

After your payment has been received and verified, the fulfillment team will post the high-resolution video clips corresponding to your selection to our delivery FTP server. You will be advised of the delivery via email with link to the FTP download. You will be able to download the files for a period of 3 days. If for any reason, you are unable to download the files, you may contact our support team; give your order details and request for a fresh FTP transfer to be initiated. Any subsequent FTP transfer will be charged a small handling fees based on the size of the transfer.

8) Do you offer any refunds?

Since the videos are royalty free, we are unable to offer any refunds at this time. Once the high-resolution files are uploaded to the FTP server, the order can not be revoked.

9) Are there any restrictions on the use of these videos in my projects?

The usage of all videos on the web-site is governed by our terms of use document. You can view this by clicking here or download from our website. You can only use the videos on any one project per download.

10) Do you offer a subscription plan?

At this time, we are not offering a subscription plan. We are working to design a subscription plan and seek your help to understand how you would like us to structure it. Please send your comments and suggestions to info@movicovideos.com.

11) Do you have a newsletter informing users of new videos that have been added?

Yes. We do have a regular newsletter informing you of new videos, developments, usage patterns and advertising options on the web-site. Please sign-up for the newsletter via our home page or send mail to newsletter@movicovideos.com

14) Can I see a website user agreement?

The standard website user agreement is available to all users via the Terms & Condition from the help menu. When you sign-in or whenever you make a transaction with us, you will be required to agree to the user agreement.

15) I am having trouble in using the collection menu options. How does it work?

The collection menu is designed to give you access to all videos in a category or by sub-categories within the category. If you click on the text describing the category, all the videos of that category will be displayed and the list of sub-categories under the category will be expanded. If you click on the empty space (to the right of the category text) only the category will expand without refreshing the videos. If you want to view video listing of any sub-category, click on the sub-category entry.

16) I have forgotten my password? Please help.

Please enter your existing email id (User ID) or alternate email id in the Forgot password link. Your password will be sent to you via email.

17) Why do I need to register? What additional benefits will I get if I register?

You need to be a registered user to do any transaction on our website. Once you register, you can create your own lightboxes & share them with your friends & colleagues. This allows you to collaborate before finalizing any transactions.

18) What is Lightbox & how can I create?

A Lightbox is a virtual container where you can add videos which you like, or want to share with friends & colleagues or for later use. To create new Lightbox, go to MyAccount section at the top right & click on the Lightbox(s) link or click on the little "+" icon on any of the video items.
